You can make your own take on this lamp with thin rope, thick rope, jute rope or nylon, and you can coil the rope around almost anything — like a flower pot, a funnel, or a bowl — to get various shapes. For this project, I used a round vase with an inflated balloon in the top, but if you happen to have a glass display cloche sitting around, it would do the job just fine.

Everyday Crafts, Gifts, Holidays, Valentine's Day
Last week, I had a super-fun craft n’ chat sesh at People.com with Laura Marano, star of the Disney channel’s hit Austin & Ally, and the star of the upcoming Disney movie Bad Hair Day (airs tomorrow, February 13th at 8/7c!). We made some wire flowers with nail polish (get the how-to here), chatted about her new movie…and her tiny fingers.
It’s a great, last minute Valentine’s Day bloom…that will never wilt!
