Art is in the eye of the beholder, but this artist is undeniably adorable! This quick and easy costume is a great last-minute choice for the kid who can’t make up her mind! You likely have many of the crafty items at home, and you can pair them with these perfect pieces from Primary.com to give your artist that extra je ne sais quoi! I love the french striped look alongside the more funky star pant, giving this little painter an edgy vibe.
Here’s how to put it all together…
What you’ll need:
- Long sleeve classic T in stripe from Primary.com
- Cozy legging in star print from Primary.com
- Mask from Primary.com
- Kids’ apron
- Acrylic paint
- Cardboard
- Paintbrush
- Black felt
- Scissors
- Hot-glue gun
- Beret
- To make the paint palette, draw a kidney-bean shape on cardboard, about 16″ in length and cut out. Cut out a small circle near the end.
- Paint splotches of paint along the palette.
- If your apron isn’t already messily beautiful, then add some dashes of bright paint to match your palette.
- Cut a mustache a goatee shape from black felt and use glue-dots to attach to mask (this way you can have a clean-shaven mask when finished).
Once Halloween is over that apron will come in handy for future art projects and those clothes will last until your kid grows too big to wear them!
